The museum philosophy and the architecture help transcend the quality of the works in their mode of representation and to emphasise the Verviers heritage in a new dynamic. The response to this challenge established an overall project in which the heritage values are both respected and prepared for present and future needs. The architecture and new interventions in general are not an end in and of themselves but an accompaniment to the «itinerary» principle that is recurrent in the intent. Above all, the project proposes tours passing through the stages of the educational and artistic approach, with the main challenge of offering a reading of the witnesses to the past in our contemporary context, both for the general public and for initiated connoisseurs.
