Transformation, renovation, and extension of a Vauban arsenal into a centre for contemporary art exhibits: exhibit rooms, workshops, restaurant, etc.

The goal of the project is to be a part of the Maubeuge Regional Capital of Culture in 2015. The Exhibition Centre project covers the renovation of the Arsenal building. The exhibits and activities will be intended for all audiences: new visitors, connoisseurs, and insiders, as well as for local users, from children to adults. The architectural work covers the powerful structure of the building to make it an exceptional place for spatialisation. The interior of the building was redesigned to help open up large spaces for exhibits and the other activities carried out as part of the cultural program. The structure was designed and serves as a reference for project supervision to create atypical spaces unique to the volume of the building.
